Amity School Dubai welcomes applications throughout the year. The academic year commences in April and ends in March. The school follows CBSE Curriculum and adheres to UAE laws and KHDA Guidelines. The Admissions office is open from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Sunday to Thursday and on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. Admission Process To begin with the admission process, please complete the Online Application Form. Once the form has been completed, you will receive a response email from our admissions office confirming receipt of your application along with an invite to the school. Admission is broadly based on the review of students' records of past performance, age and acceptable performance on the school’s screening assessments. We welcome applications from students across the ability range and we offer places for Students of Determination. Pre-Primary, KG1 and KG2 assessments are generally observational/practical play assessments to determine school readiness. Students from Grade 1 – Grade 9 will be assessed on language/literacy and numeracy standards, appropriate to their existing education or the number of years in full-time education. Age-Criteria for Admission Minimum Age at July 31st Minimum Age at March 31st Grade 3 years 3 years Pre K 4 years 4 years KG 1 5 years 5 years KG 2 6 years 6 years Grade 1 From Grade 2 and above, the grade level depends on the curriculum the child is migrating from, adhering to MoE and KHDA guidelines. Following documents are required at the time of confirming admissions Passport copy of the applicant and parents Visa copy of the applicant and parents Emirates ID copy of the applicant and parents Birth Certificate copy Vaccination record copy 4 passport size photographs of the applicant 1 passport size photograph of the parents Latest report from the previous school including any learning support documents pertaining to your child’s educational needs, if any. From Grade 2 onwards The original Transfer Certificate of the last school attended must be duly attested according to the guidelines below: Students coming from Emirates other than Dubai will have to have the Transfer/Leaving Certificate attested by the Ministry of Education of the concerned Emirate. Students coming from GCC Countries, the Transfer/School Leaving Certificate should be attested by the Ministry of Education. Students coming from India will need to have their Transfer Certificate/ School Leaving Certificate attested by the Education Officer of the district. The seal and signature of the Education Officer has to be verified by the Indian Consulate in Dubai and the UAE Foreign Affairs Ministry. Attestation is not required for students transferring from schools in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and Europe.
