Admission Process Al Durrah International School welcomes students from diverse backgrounds. In order to provide a high quality of education we need to understand as much as possible about children to determine whether ADIS will be a good match for them. All applicants to Al Durrah International School are therefore required to follow the same initial process when applying for admission. Step 1: Application Please visit the admissions office to complete the application form and arrange for an interview / admission test OR Complete the Application Form Please ensure that you complete all sections of the Application Form. Step 2: Submit Documents Please submit the following to the Al Durrah International Admissions Office: Completed Application Form Supporting documents as listed below: Copies of all documents Students Birth Certificate Studentâs Passport Parentâs Passport Residence Visa (non Emirati students only) Previous 2 yearâs school reports Student immunization record 3 copies of student photograph, passport sized AED 500 Application Fee (non-refundable). Step 3: Assessment When all of the requisite paperwork (Step 2) and the Application Fee has been received, you will be contacted by the Admissions office to arrange an Assessment Test. We will invite those applicants who are resident in the United Arab Emirates to our Admissions Office where they will undertake the Assessment Test and attend an interview (if required). Step 4: Feedback Following the Assessment Test and interview, please allow 5 working days to receive information regarding the result of the assessment, the outcome will be one of the following: Offer of a guaranteed place Conditional Offer Place on the waiting list Re-assessment Not accepted Transfer Certificate Sharjah Education Zone requires that every student be registered with them. In order to process this registration, parents must provide the School with a Transfer Certificate (TC) from the childâs previous school. Students transferring from a school within Sharjah Parents should obtain the TC from the previous school. The TC should be written in Arabic and in the standard UAE format. The TC should be stamped with the previous schoolâs official stamp. Students transferring from a school in another emirate Parents should obtain the TC from the previous school. The TC should be written in Arabic and in the standard UAE format. The TC should be stamped with the previous schoolâs official stamp.The Ministry of Education in the respective emirate must attest the TC. Students transferring from outside of the UAE For students coming from a country other than USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or Western Europe, the TC must be attested as follows: The Ministry of Education Ministry of Foreign Affairs The UAE Embassy The attestations outlined above must be obtained from the country in which the previous school is located.The TC must be written in English, on school letterhead and stamped with the schoolâs official stamp.
