Admissions Process Step 1 To begin the application process, please submit your enquiry through the Enrol Online page. Step 2 Once you have completed the online application, you will receive an Enquiry number(SR Number). Please keep it for your records. . An acknowledgement email containing next steps will be sent to the email address you are provided. Step 3 After receiving the acknowledgement email containing your enquiry number and a link to complete the profile , please follow the steps listed. Please upload the required documents listed below :

Emirates ID of sponsor (Both sides). Parent (Sponsor) Passport. Applicant's Photo. Applicant's Emirates ID (Both Sides). Applicant's Passport. Applicant's Immunization Card. Applicant Recent School Report / Nursery Report. Transfer Certificate (if applicable. Attestations required from MOE/MOFA/UAE Embassy from transferred country). Applicant Birth Certificate (Attested by the respective consulates and /or Embassies in the case of children born outside the UAE).

• Please Note: We will not be able to process your application if the documents are not uploaded in PDF format.

In the case of overseas transfer, the Transfer Certificate should also be duly attested by:

District Education Officer of the concerned district Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country from which migrating UAE Embassy in the country from which migrating Consulate of the Concerned country in Abu Dhabi

Step 4 After completing Steps 1-3, documents will be reviewed, and student will be placed on waitlist. Seats will be offered once available. An online enquiry does not automatically guarantee your child a seat . The school has the right to reject applications if the documents are not complete. Screening & Assessments Our school may choose to undertake screening and assessments to determine the right placement of an applicant. After a student has been registered and required paperwork submitted, students entering Years 1 to Year 9 may be asked to complete a placement test. Students entering Foundation Stage 2 will meet in groups with a member of the Educational team. The screening and assessment of a student is set-up through the Admission office and decisions are determined by the admission committee. After this step, a student may be offered a seat, placed on the waitlist, or denied. Previous Schooling All new students must provide official documentation of previous school experience, report card, and test scores. All documents provided must be in English. The school may request certification of translation from the Consulate of the country in which the student last attended to meet admission requirements. Grade Placement GEMS Winchester School in Abu Dhabi seeks to make the most appropriate grade placement for each student based on his or her age, as well as academic, social and emotional development within policy guidelines. For this reason, new students may be required to complete an appropriate level assessment to determine placement and fit. Age Requirements To meet the age requirements of the admission policy for GEMS Winchester School in Abu Dhabi, a student must have turned the age listed next to the grade level by August 31st of the Academic Year.

Re-enrollment Process In order to secure a student's continued place at GEMS Winchester School - Abu Dhabi for the following Academic Year , an online re-enrollment form must be completed via Parent Portal along with a paid deposit of 5% of the school fees by the 1st May each academic year. This deposit is non- refundable should a student not take up the confirmed place in September but is fully adjustable against the first term fees. The deposit may be paid online with a credit card, in person at the school accounts office or via bank wire transfer. Please note that the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) issues the guidelines regarding the admission and re-enrollment processes for the private schools in Abu Dhabi. Students who are unable to be registered with the ministry due to missing required documentation, or students with an outstanding fee balance, will not be able to re-enroll for the next academic year. Withdrawal Process

1. Log in Through GEMS Portal or GEMS Connect App

Please complete the online transfer through GEMS Parent Portal or the GEMS Connect APP using your GEMS parent username and password. Under Requests , select Transfer Certificate. If you continue to have difficulty with logging in, and require a password reset, please email [email protected] to request a reset of your password. 2. Clear All Accounts During the last two weeks prior to your child's withdrawal from school, please ensure that all accounts are clear. This means returning all library and textbooks, returning any IT equipment, and ensuring outstanding fees are cleared in all departments. Please note, that will not be able to issue Transfer Certificate and Report Card unless all accounts are cleared. Transfer Documentation If the student account has been cleared, the transfer documentation will be available on the next working day of last date of attendance. Please understand that we will not be able to release any documentation prior to the last date of attendance.
